THE NEW YORK FALLEN HEROES FOUNDATION

The New York Fallen Heroes Foundation was established by renowned portrait artist Mark Anderson to commemorate and celebrate the lives of those heroes who have served New York City so bravely during her times of need.

 

Mr. Anderson endeavors to paint the portraits of all 343 New York City Firefighters, 37 Port Authority Police Officers and 23 NYPD Officers who were killed responding to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. It is anticipated that the original portraits will find a permanent home at the 9/11 Memorial.

 

We are also seeking to commission the portraits of the 19 members of The Fighting 69th lost in Iraq for permanent display in the Armory and as a gift to the Battalion.

 

Donations to this fund will be utilized to commission the portraits of all members of The Fighting 69th killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
